This Week

There have been some bloody wonderful things said this week. I have my differences with the Guardian over what it no longer is, but when it gives Marina Hyde the space to write this piece, it goes a long way with me.

  1. It’s a brilliant piece. Dan Hett used to work with a friend of mine. His openness and compassion in his response to his brother’s death is astounding and inspiring and the perfect antithesis of Hopkins petty, puerile posturing.

Hyde pays a fine tribute to both brothers and then hangs Hopkins out to dry wonderfully. Thank you for sharing. I would have missed this otherwise.
