Xmas Fairytale Part 1

It’s that time of year when records I recognise are in the Top 100 and I start slavishly following the path of ‘A Fairytale of New York’ back to domination of our airwaves. The song’s leapt 48 places to no 18 in the first December chart whilst Mariah Carey’s already at no 6. Only two more weeks for the Xmas Chart so will it be top 10 again, like last year. We’ll soon see.

  1. Hi Martin,

I don’t suppose you received yesterday a VERY long comment that I’d added to your ‘Lion in the 60s’ column? I’d been working on it on & off for a couple of days, and when I pressed ‘Send’ it appeared to go, but then a message said, ‘Sorry, your comment couldn’t be sent’. And the whole thing seems to have %$&£ing vanished!!

  2. Hi Jake

Sorry, no, nothing came through at all. And it wasn’t saved at your end? Dammit, I know how hard it is to re-construct a finished piece once it’s been written.

I’d still love to hear your thoughts at any length. If you’re up for trying again, as well as posting the Comment, why not also send it me as an e-mail at arduous.publications47(at)gmail.com? Belt and braces.
