Falling but never Fallen: Julee Cruise R.I.P.

Thre true is that, outside of her contributions to Twin Peaks, I knew nothing about Julee Cruise’s music. I’m no doubt being unfair to her legacy to say that I didn’t need to no more. One golden moment, that breathy voice, softer than you might imagine was possible in which to sing. Just one of many iconic moments in one of the most puzzling and intriguing series ever made. You always want the people who take you to the greatest heights to be immortal and they never are. But she leaves behind something both unique and an indelible part of a tapestry of innumerable bright and dark colours. Falling, but never Fallen.
